Abstract:

Isoetes hyemalis sp. nov., is described from deciduous and mixed forest swamps. Populations are known from Virginia, South Carolina, and North Carolina with the greatest number occurring in the latter. Ecological, morphological, and geographic characteristics are described and discussed. -from Authors
